What should life be for us?

What should life be for us?

“A fine tune speaks within our hearts, for others it is the music of their lives, and for some it is the soul of existence. We all have different songs to sing, life is a musical drama, we may all change the lyrics and the tune; everything comes-goes, fade, change and still, the music continues to play.”   -Mond D.

Everything is provided. Everything we see around us is our source of survival. But why do we need to survive? Does it seem pointless to live without knowing the purpose of our existence? We wake up every day feeling empty, lost and lacking of something unexplainable. We eat and laugh with friends and family, but at the end of the day we find ourselves sad.

I miss the day when we were all kids. I miss the time when chocolate made us extremely happy and excited. Every bite felt like the last. Kids play around, running up hill against the breeze of the wind and lying down on green grass, feeling the tips of leaves by their fingers. I miss the sand, as I get myself dirty trying to draw my nickname. I miss being a child; carefree of the cruel reality of the “adult-world.”

Purity of the heart is stained with life’s toxicities. How can we call ourselves God’s men and women when we only talk about His greatness, pray to Him, ask for forgiveness and call for help only when we are troubled, yet we never even tried to think of a way how to recognize Him by showing what He has taught us, and with what we can do for ourselves, for others around us and on His creations.

We live in a Materialistic Generation, everything around us is made easy with technology, but why now, when everything is easy and instant; why still do we lack time for our family and for our worship to GOD? Is doing good to others also instant? Is praying for a fruitful day also instant? Is GOD just an instant message of the day?

It is certainly a barren land to live in. We may be rich and powerful, we can buy things and have everything we want but at the end of the day there is still a missing piece. We are just making everything easy, like throwing our lives in a trashcan.

It is pointless to dream of greatness and wealth when we do not even know the essence of everything we do. We are all concern of the future but why not live every single day like it is the last like eating chocolate.
